DATA PROTECTION

Doherty & Associates attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data and your right of self-determination with regard to information. The following privacy statement informs you about how the personal information you enter on our website is being processed.

SUPPLY OF PERSONAL DATA

In general, you can visit our website without revealing any personal information. You need to share personal information if you:

  • use our contact form
  • buy items in our online store
  • sign up for our newsletter
  • register in the press room
  • create a job posting
  • create a directory listing

We will process personal-related data to the extent that is needed for dealing with your request. To answer a question, process your order, or for accreditation in our press file. After your request has been processed or in the case of the termination of a business relationship your data will be deleted or retained on our system it in accordance with legal retention periods.

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. We will disclose the personal data that you have disclosed to us without your express consent only to the extent that it is necessary to process your request, this includes disclosing your address to delivery services, payment providers, website service and maintenance, newsletter delivery etc. We will not disclose them to other third parties and in particular not sell them or otherwise pass them to commercial users. If you decide to receive marketing information, you will only receive e-mails from the Understanding eCommerce.

COMMENTS

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

ORDERING ONLINE

If you order an item in our shop, we will process and use your specified personal data exclusively for execution of your payment and delivery unless you have specifically accepted the use of your data for other purposes like customer card application or newsletter subscription. NEWSLETTER

If you sign up for our newsletter, we will send an e-mail to the registered e-mail address in which you will be asked to confirm your newsletter subscription (Double-Opt-In). This ensures that no third-party has misused your data. Under no circumstances will we sell your personal data for advertising or marketing purposes to third-parties or otherwise make them available for such. We will only share your personal information with technical services that are needed to deliver your newsletter. As a matter of course, you are free to unsubscribe to our newsletter service whenever you want by clicking on the unsubscribe button in the newsletter or sending an e-mail to info@dohertyassoc.com.

USE OF GOOGLE ANALYTICS

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and allow an analysis of the use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this site are usually sent to a server of Google in the US and stored there.

The website uses social plugins Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (hereinafter “Facebook”). When you visit pages on www.dataconomy.com that include such a plugin that automatically transmits data about your visitors’ behavior on the server from Facebook. The Dataconomy Media GmbH has no influence on the nature and extent of data collected and communicated to Facebook data. If you are logged into Facebook, Facebook can assign to visit your Facebook account. For more information about privacy on Facebook, visit http://www.facebook.com/policy.php . We, as the provider of the websites, have received no knowledge of neither the content nor the use thereof through Facebook.

GOOGLE +1 BUTTON

Collection and passing-on of information:

Using the Google +1 button/feature you are able to publish and share information on a global scale. By using this feature you and other users receive personalized content via Google and our partners. Google saves both the information that you have clicked on the +1 button for the respective content and information about the page/content that you have clicked +1 on. Your +1s may be shown in conjunction with your profile name and picture on Google services (e.g. in search results, your Google-Profile or other websites and advertisements).  Google saves information on your +1 activity to improve its services for you and other users. To be able to use the +1 feature you need to own a public Google profile that needs to contain the name chosen for the profile. This name will be used in all Google services. In some cases, this name may replace another name that you have used to share information via your Google profile. The identity of your Google profile may be shared with other Google users that know either your email or other identifying information about you.

Usage of the collected information:

In addition to the above usage cases, the information provided by you will be used by Google according to its prevailing data privacy policy.
