"Democrats: Small Business Getting Shafted"

Washington, DC, Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Radically different views are shaping the debate on the government's commitment to the nation's small businesses. The ranking Democrat on the House Small Business Committee has drawn a line in the sand, saying that the aggregate impact of recommended program restructuring and funding reductions in the president's fiscal 2006 budget proposal will disproportionately hurt the interests of small business owners, a key constituency that supported President George W. Bush's successful re-election last year.

Hello,

I'm the person who wrote the article cited on your blog. Respectfully, as a journalist I am asking that you make sure your headline matches the original. The true headline for this story is "Democrats: Small Business Getting Shafted," which is the way it appears on the Washington Times web site. Your headline, with my byline right under it, implies something otherwise. That decision is up to the reader. Thanks.
